Changing your shutter speed can create some interesting and beautiful results when photographing water. The “misty” effect on the water is produced by simply slowing down your shutter speed so that the movement of the water is blurred, while the rest of the image remains stationary.

Be sure to have your camera on a tripod when doing this type of photography as your shutter speed will be slowed down to 1/2 sec or less to achieve this result.

If you would like to learn more about getting results like this, feel free to like my page and keep an eye out for upcoming workshops in the new year with PhotographyTrainers and Photography School Australia
